Logistika Pluss name day is celebrated in a bright mood despite the economic crisis

Today, June 19, we celebrate the name day of Logistika Pluss. Despite the difficult circumstances in the economy of Estonia and the whole world, we step firmly into the future and are open to innovation. During the last two years, the economic crisis has hit Northern Europe and Estonia hard, but Logistika Pluss has successfully overcome all difficulties thanks to its strong team and financial stability.

The head of the company, Toomas Orutar, believes the forecasts that the recession will end in the second half of this year. “At Logistika Pluss, we have not sat on our hands and waited for the crisis to end,” explains Toomas, “we have updated and renewed all our processes and achieved considerable efficiency thanks to good teamwork. We have been able to keep our extremely dedicated staff and will continue to do so.”

Innovation and development of technology has also been a definite focus of Logistika Pluss. We have implemented world-class warehouse management software and new customs services software, with which we can offer our customers an even more secure and multifunctional service.

“Today we are waiting for the right moment to invest in automation technologies – automatic warehouses or automatic forklifts,” says Toomas. “Even though technology is currently still expensive and the payback period of the investment is too long, we have visited various world fairs with our managers and we know exactly what technology we need. We have made the necessary financial calculations and are in a starting position. As soon as the availability of technology becomes more affordable, we will start with innovations.”

Toomas says that his dream is to automate most of the core processes within the next five years. “I’ve tried different jobs in my life, I’ve been an electronics engineer and a parquet installer, I’ve been at different management levels and I still have a forklift driver’s license. Although I haven’t worked as a forklift driver, I’ve tried receiving, picking and issuing goods and sticking labels in the warehouse. All jobs have been great. Today, if I had to change jobs with some employees, I would fly our inventory drone,” adds Toomas with a smile.

The name day of Logistika Pluss is therefore not only a celebration, but also a symbol of the company’s vision aimed at consistency and innovation. Thanks to a strong team and a forward-looking strategy, we are ready to take the next steps to offer our customers even better services and automated solutions. We have become and grown as Logistika Pluss over time. In our journey so far, we have done a lot of cooperation with our customers, who have helped us to develop and be more than just a logistics company.

We are happy that thanks to our wonderful customers, we can say that we literally help save lives, make an environmental revolution, provide adults and children with necessary basic goods and clothing, contribute to the preservation of Estonian national heritage, and be a part of changing the world of technology.
